Avro Renewal Quote Date?

Hi
I'm looking to renew my dads energy supply with Avro and wondered if anyone had experience of how the renewal date works.
It deaults to todays date but doesn't indicate how far in advance you can go.
If anyone has any experience of this, your thoughts would be most welcome.

Many thanks

  • I can’t remember the exact number of days but it’s about 45 I think??;...however, if you enter a tariff start date that is for example 6 months away you’ll get a pop-up message that will tell you exactly the maximum allowable ‘delay’ before the new tariff must commence.

  • Thanks for that I presume I will need to hit the renew button to activate a response. I did put a forward date in but nothing happened.

    Cheers

Yes;...choose a date that is far in the future,...then select ‘renew’. Your date will be rejected but it then displays the allowable options.

That’s how it worked the last time I switched;...I assume (perhaps wrongly!) the process hasn’t changed.

  • I tried putting in a forward (when his current tariff ends) but it didn't ask for a another date as expected, it just seemed to ignore it. I will wait to see what the Avro email says but I suspect they have put him straight on the new tariff.

    Cheers

I’ve recently renewed with AVRO and I noticed the option to start the new tariff ahead of time.  However, since the new tariff works out cheaper than my old one (£12/month DD saving) and AVRO have no penalties for early exits, I couldn’t see the point of delaying the new tariff.
