“ You have 14 days from the day you receive your Services Cover contract pack to change your mind about the Services Cover. If you cancel the Services Cover provided with this tariff, this energy tariff will continue without the Services Cover until 31 January 2022, unless the tariff is cancelled earlier in accordance with these terms and conditions. “All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I only just spotted that when I did another quote just now.
I heard it's a lot harder to change suppliers in future if you have a smart meter. Is that still the case?

But also concerned as my plan with SSE runs out then, and if I don't change to a cheaper plan with them I will get put on Standard, which they tell me is more expensive than I was on last time.

Why are you going dual fuel, it almost always costs more than separate suppliers?Look at it this way... In a hundred years who's gonna care?0 -

I wasn’t bothered about a smart meter either way but I wouldn’t cancel a good tariff just because of that.
The last couple of times I’ve checked single vs dual fuel, there’s been so little difference (once I’ve ruled out the ones with rubbish customer service) that I’ve stayed with the dual fuel for convenience. I don’t think the difference to single tariffs is that big for a lot of people. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
