EE extend amount of rings before voicemail

using a Moto G7 Power handset. voicemail cuts in too quickly (after around 3 or 4 rings). is there any way to extend the amount of rings, say to 6, before answerphone comes on?

hi, thanks for reply. i've tried that but apparently it doesn't work anymore and it's a function EE have removed. i think the problem is the ringtone starts really quietly and gradually builds up in volume. by the time its got louder it cuts to answerphone within 2 or 3 rings. this feature doesn't appear to be able to be disabled.

My Moto G8 Plus (on Android 10) doesn't have an ascending ringtone ... it pumps out at the set volume. (I am using a custom ringtone - an MP3 music file - You Shook Me All Night Long since you didn't ask).
There is no setting on my phone to turn on or off an ascending tone feature, but a quick search suggests earlier Moto phones had such a feature and it was not possible to turn it off.

Am on EE myself and tried that code (set it to 30 seconds) and it came up with Setting Registration Succeded-so I assume it must still be supported?

that makes no difference as the answerphone comes in at around 20 seconds regardless of ringtone used.

In my experience you can only extend it to 30 seconds. Search the web for instructions, often they are different for PAYG and people on contracts, it's just a matter of searching until you find one that works.
