Aqua Cashback - check your emails

Just got an email from Aqua (I rarely use the card now but keep it open as it's an old account) offering a limited time cashback offer - useful if you have the card and pay it off in full every month. A maximum of £20 back is better than a slap in the face with a wet kipper. I do note that you have to spend £200 before the cashback begins - so if you spend £201, you get the cashback on the £1. If you spend £600, you get cashback on £400. A bit convoluted but it'll work for some people.


Terms & Conditions

You will need to opt in and spend over £200 on new purchases, using your Aqua card, by 20th December 2020 to qualify for this offer. You will then earn 1% cashback on all spend on new purchases above that amount, made using your Aqua card, until 20th December 2020.

You can earn a maximum of £20 cashback on your total spend on new purchases above £200, using your Aqua card, between the date you qualify for the offer and 20th December 2020 (inclusive).

For example, if you need to spend over £200 on new purchases using your Aqua card to qualify for the 1% cashback offer, and during the offer period you spent £400 in total; you would receive 1% cashback on £200 which would be £2.00.

The following transactions are excluded: Balance Transfer & Money Transfers, cash transactions (including Travellers Cheques, foreign currency transactions, finance payments & gambling), and any fees, charges or interest payable under your credit card agreement. Also, if you receive a refund for a purchase on which you have accrued cashback, we will deduct the cashback accrued on that purchase.

The offer applies to purchases by additional cardholders on their Aqua card. Any cashback earned by additional cardholders will count towards the £20 maximum cashback amount that can be earnt in connection with this offer (i.e. that £20 maximum cashback amount applies to the entire account and not per cardholder).

Any cashback credited to your account in connection with this offer will not count towards your contractual minimum payment.

In order to qualify for this offer, you must make at least your contractual minimum payments on time and remain within your credit limit. Failure to do so will result in any accrued cashback earned in connection with this offer being withdrawn and you will also not be able to earn any further cashback during the offer period.

If you tell us you want to close your account, you will not be eligible to earn any cashback under this offer from that point onwards. Cashback already accrued will be credited to your account, provided that your account is still open as at 28th February 2021. Cashback will be applied directly to customers’ accounts by 28th February 2021.

It's possible - but no harm checking your emails if you happen to have an aqua card.

I have the Reward card and didn't get the email. My friend has the Advance card and got the email.

I have an Aqua reward card that pays 0.5% cashback on purchases.

Today I received an email about the 1% cashback offer, which is in addition to the 0.5% I already receive.

With an additional 1% cashback on your total spend over £200 on new purchases using your Aqua Reward card only available until 20th December 2020, now is the time to opt in and make everyday spending go a little further.
