Worcester Boiler Combi Hot Water issues

Hi, I have a Worcester-Bosch Greenstar Heatslave II 25/32 and for the last few weeks have been experiencing a problem with the hot water.  When, for example, filling a washing up bowl for the dishes, the hot water at first runs cold (as normal) and then goes hot.  The problem is that once the water has gone hot and run for a few seconds, we get another cycle of about 10-20 seconds of cold water before the water gets hot again.  This is not peculiar to the kitchen but happens in the bathroom sink/shower etc.  Had the Worcester Engineer out two weeks ago and he could find no problem.  However, searching on the internet I see that there are quite a few 'similar' but not quite the same issues with people [mainly non professionals] suggesting all manner of possible reasons for the fault.  My 2 year warranty runs out in less than two weeks so am hoping that I will be able to go back to Worcester-Boshch and challenge their 'no fault found' diagnosis and have the fault dated and recorded as within the warranty period.  Many thanks.

Perhaps look up clogged up heat exchanger?

Thanks, the Engineer checked [allegedly] the heat exchanger and found it to be fine. The boiler is only 23 months old.

Why did the engineer not find a fault when there is clearly a fault. I would suggest they send out a senior engineer asap.

I guess he couldn't replicate the fault at the time.  It has only become noticeable to us since we turned the CH back on in late Sept but he also couldn't find a fault with the divert.
