New Build Sound Insulation - Advice Needed!

Hi All,

We have recently moved into a new build apartment. It is our first property and the spec of the property is fantastic! However, one issue that has arised, is that we can hear our upstairs neighbours really clearly.

We can hear them walking into each room and to the point that we can track exactly where they are in their house by listening to their footsteps...

Every kitchen cupboard they open, we can hear. Every conversation or laugh, we can hear. I am convinced this ins't right and probably not within regulations.

We have been in the flat for just over a week and ther developers are still in, finishing the other properties. I will obviously raise our concerns with the developer but is there anything that we can do, should there be the inevitable pushback from the developers?

This is an issue to raise with the developers. 

It does sound as though there is some problem with the sound insulation though.
