Return Postage Refund Question

Hi,
I’m sure I read somewhere (on here probably), that if you return a full online order to a retailer you should receive a refund for any standard postage you paid.

I’ve mentioned it to a couple of online retailers when I’ve not received the refund and they have either argued it or said they’d never heard of it. I also have an inkling that if they make you aware they don’t refund delivery costs in the terms then they’re not obliged to.
I know it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, and I know even if it is something they’re supposed to do, enforcing it is a different matter but I’m intrigued to know if I’m right in my thinking or is it one of those myths? I tried looking online and places like Which seem to back up what I’m thinking but I can’t find specific legislation. I just thought it was useful to know especially when a lot of us will likely be ordering online even more at the minute.

Can anyone shed any light on the situation please?
Thank you.
