Redruby- hope all goes well today. Will be thinking of you.10

Good morning!
Today I'll be thinking of you Ruby - you won't see this but I think you will know that we are all here wishing you the best for a good recovery.
Topsy, thinking of you too. I tend to be very sick after anaesthetic too and it can last for a few days.
Yesterday started off wet but cleared up and we had a sunny afternoon, though cold. I raked leaves but have not finished as they were wet and heavy. But have made inroads at least. Probably no raking today as heavy rain is forecast for much of the day. When I couldn't bear any more raking I carried on chipping wood in the shed and came back in when I got too cold to carry on safely. I was so tired that I went to bed really early and slept better.
I've been out with birdseed and messy crow has been for a visit, he is not going to fit into the birdtable for long, though the pigeons manage to squish themselves in.
I have indoor jobs to do, the bathroom needs a proper clean rather than a daily wipe and other equally brain-numbingly tedious jobs. At least coralline the leaves may mean fewer sweeps of the kitchen, I hope that's not just wishful thinking.
Hope everyone has a good day.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back12 -

Morning all and thinking especially of Ruby this morning.
It seems we had a frost overnight but will hopefully warm up in a while. I plan to go to a local lake for a walk and then on to get some shopping. I'm a Marketing person's dream as send me some money off vouchers and I'm yours for the time being!
Later I'll be making some tomato soup, which involves added chick peas. Now chick peas and DH do not see eye to eye, although he likes hoummus, so the offending article will be blended to smithereens and disguised with some creme fraiche and chopped basil to garnish! Hope it works as it's a new recipe for me.
The house work did get done yesterday but not the ironing so might tackle that today. Then it's my regular Friday night Zoom music session so will have to think of a tune to lead for that and run it through a few times so I don't embarrass myself online.
Happy Friday everyone.13 -
Thinking of you RR, I hope it all goes smoothly and you don't have to hang around waiting too long11

Thanks for the info Nelski. Like every one else on here I will be thinking of, and praying very hard for RR today. There will be such a huge sigh of relief when we hear that she is through the op and safe, I expect news of an unexpected hurricane on the weather reports.
Nelski, Thank goodness that you have abandoned posh for today. Bacon butties I can live with.
Am rushing off today to help a friend's daughter make up some 'cheering-up' boxes for people on their own who are finding isolation difficult. She is a Vicar with 4 parishes so a lot of boxes are called for.
I haven't ventured out yet but it feels a good bit chillier. I've not had to use any of my warm winter clothes yet this year, but I think today might be the day.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Be decisive. Right or wrong, make a decision.
The road of life is paved with flat squirrels who couldn't make a decision.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.15 -
Another one here sending positive vibes, Ruby. I'm sorry several of you are suffering tummy problems. I had one the other day but Laura poked a couple of acupuncture points on my legs and it really helped Since I had a temporary filling put in I've had several little ulcers on the tip of my tongue, I find them very painful and Laura showed me a couple of points near the nailbeds of my little fingers to dig my nails in and the pain goes like magic.
I had a really lazy day yesterday and slept deeply again, I must have been sleeping lightly while Esben was here, keeping one ear open like I used to while my two were small. Steve washed the bedding off the spare beds and I shall deep clean the bathrooms today. Steve also cleaned the carpet near the front door where the buggy had been brought in and out, we've decided to replace the carpet with wood next year but it will also mean a new front door as well because the present one is so low to the ground we can't even fit a very thin mat under it.

Snoozer if you have the buggy again keep a few shower caps so they can be put on the wheels as soon as its brought in the door xSlava Ukraini12
