It's because it's the vendor's solicitor who has made the application. You can't chase up somebody else's application.maddesigns said:She has said to me, that the vendor's solicitor need to chase and not her? Is this just legal etiquette, or avoidance?

Thank you very much. I have sent an email yesterday evening and had a response from my solicitor this morning, to confirm from the vendor's solicitor, that the Land Registry has expedited the request last week. So, this should take no longer than ten days I understand, is that correct do you know?0

Ok, thank you very much. I'm assuming that it should be in order once the amendment is made. Your help and explanation is much appreciated.0

Hi again,
please can you advise on the following email below, which I have received this morning. It is 3 months now and this has still not been completed. Would you know why? My solicitor is not happy to proceed unless this is completed prior to exchangefrom my solicitor:
The Sellers solicitors emailed through some up to date Land Registry office copies on Tuesday however, the entry relating to the old deed which they were supposed to be applying to be removed, was still showing thereon?
We have gone back to them to query this and yesterday they have advised that they are contacting the land registry however, asked that we proceed with an exchange and attend to this after completion when we make our application.
