Valuable Life Cover

I'm just applying for a Virgin credit card, and have come to the section of the application which asks about "valuable life cover". Now I'm hesitating just a little. The payment of 72p per £100 isn't that much, I realise, but is it really necessary - i.e. is it just a way for them to get a bit of money back?
All help appreciated. Thanks.

Think it's generally considered that any 'extras' such as life & payment protection cover are very overpriced when compared with what is available elsewhere0

Wouldn't bother, most people don't unless you think you personally need it, just an extra way for them to make money. And possibly for you to waste it! Welcome to the boards too!2p off is still 2p off!0

Well, that seems clear enough. Thanks Folks, and thanks for the welcome. I should have been here a long time ago, but hopefully better late than never.0
