Hi, I have just got my new broadband package with Three and I have connected everything phone, iPad, Xbox ect... but when it comes to the 2 echo dots they just wont connect to the internet.
I've tried factory resetting them and the router but noting works. when I go in to the app for the router the dots are showing as offline so they are connecting to the router but not the internet.
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks

Try switching to single band rather than dual band on the router and giving that a go

Did that not help? If Amazon are sending replacements, and you have something Allex related already successfully connected, then I think they can send it pre-configured ready to go0

No it didn't work I did everything I could possibly think of, the router was picking them up but then they would just disconnect.
After talking to about 10 different customer service reps they said they would just replace them.1 -

Did the new devices work OK? I'm having the same problem right now0

Just found this as I also couldn't get two 4th generation Dots to connect to my B535. I already had the 2G and 5G WiFi networks separated as it causes lots if problems with lots of devices.
Amazon also wanted to swap mine. But I wasn't accepting that two Dots could be faulty, especially when I COULD get them to connect to my personal Hotspot on my phone...
I did a couple of things. The first thing I done was change my personal Hotspot name to broadcast "Echos". I set them up on that network, then turned my Hotspot off and turned on the "Guest WiFi" network on the B535. I changed the name to "Echos" and gave it the same password as my Hotspot had, and turned off the time limit. The Echos then connected to that no problem...
THIS created a different problem. I couldn't pair them for stereo sound, so in the end I found an old router and set it up to be an Access Point. I then turned off the Guest WiFi on the B535 and named the "new" router Echos and set the password. Obviously I plugged the new router into the B535.
It's very messy, but it works. I genuinely have NO idea why these Dots won't just connect to a B535. I'm utterly flummoxed.0 -
A thought that didn't cross my mind, but would work... Turn off the B535, and make your change the settings on your personal Hotspot to match that of the B535, both SSID and password...
Get the Dots connected to your Hotspot, turn your Hotspot off and turn the B535 back on...
Should work.0 -
