X-Box from Argos

Son pre-ordered an X-Box from Argos in September to be delivered Tues 10th November. He phoned up to change delivery address a week after ordering, on 10th he got a message to say it had been delivered to his initial address, since then he has phoned to ask where his X-Box is & the agency that Argos are using ( at 72p/ minute ) say that Argos aren't responding to messages that he's left regarding changing delivery address. I have emailed to complain about the appaling service & that too was ignored!!! It's now 9 days later & apart from a massive phone bill, we are no further forward to getting his early Christmas present, he can't afford to be kept on hold for between half an hour & an hour and a half every day, only to be told the same thing.
Please, please, please can somebody help or offer advice to solve what has become the worst experience I have ever had with a company.
Thanks in advance.

So we assume to begin with he phoned Argos and they agreed to change the address?
What was the old address? Can he not go and collect from there.
Other than that you have to phone Argos to get this resolved. If they don't agree the address was changed you'd have to look at getting a copy of the call, should they have one.
Assuming the agency refers to the delivery company(?) they appear to have done their bit by delivering to the address Argos provided them, I can't see what phoning them will achieve. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Has he got anything in writing to confirm the change? An email acknowledgement or a change to the order status online, for example? Without that it's going to be a hassle to unpick the situation.0

You have picked one question out of many to answer. It’s probably a good idea to go through and answer some more, such as Aylesbury Ducks0

Might be worth using a Twitter account and prompting them for a response. Companies seem to answer much faster that way.0
