Laminate beading

I've always put oak beading with oak laminate. I've just asked a joiner to do another property for me. He says you should always use white edged ie white beading. Is it just preference? What do others use before I order it? All skirts are Torus and have been replaced. Thanks

assuming the skirting boards are painted white? I think I'd go for oak personally.
well actually I'd remove the skirting boards if possible and refit them afterwards1 -
If possible remove the skirting boards and refit over the laminate to avoid beading at all. But if you need to have beading I would always do it in the same colour as the skirting boards - IMO it looks more like an extension of the skirting rather than an afterthought. If it's in the laminate colour it always sticks out more to me.2

Why wasnt the laminate laid before the skirting was fixed ? I've always felt using beading was very amateurish , is it possible to still remove the skirting?
Saves you the cost of beading if you can remove the skirting0
