Cheap Energy Club Calculator is wrong

My current deal (Yorkshire Variable):
Gas: 25,000kW @ 2.14p/kWh = £535.
Standing Charge: 16.73p/day = £61.
Day Elec: 700kW @ 12.2p/kWh = £85.
Night Elec: 3,500kW @ 7.85p/kWh = £275
Standing Charge: 20.88p/day = £76
Total: £1,032
Best offered deal from Cheap Energy club website (Shell):
Gas: 25,000kW @ 2.59p/kWh = £647 (£112 more)
Standing Charge: 11.07p/day = £40 (£21 less)
Day Elec: 700kW @ 16.2p/kWh = £113. (£28 more)
Night Elec: 3,500kW @ 10.8p/kWh = £378 (£103 more)
Standing Charge: 12.9p/day = £47 (£29 less)
Total: £1,225
Yet the website calculator says I'm currently paying £1,300, (I'm not). It also says I'll be £230 a year better off switching as the new bill will be £1,080 p.a.
Yet, using the real usage, real standing charges and real price per kWh, I'll be £200 WORSE off.

Ofgem requires all PCWs to base annual costs on a forward projection which assumes that no switching action is taken and the tariff will default to the supplier’s SVT. For example, if you run a price comparison with one month to run on your fixed tariff then the annual cost will be one month on fixed tariff plus eleven months on the supplier’s SVT. It follows then when you choose another fixed tariff, it comes with a saving even if the annual cost is more than the tariff that you are on. MSE CEC offers a simple cost now versus cost forward comparison option.Yet the website calculator says I'm currently paying £1,300, (I'm not). Ofgem’s assumption is only flawed for customers on fixed tariffs with less than twelve months to run. It works fine for the 50%+ of customers who have never switched suppliers.

I've used the rates for the forthcoming standard tariff. The Cheap Energy Club do not have the correct rates. Neither are they calculating the correct cost based on the data I've entered and the rates advertised by Shell.[Deleted User] said:

It’s annoying that they project the SVR as I want to know how it compares to the actual deal I’m on as I never go in to the SVR

The CEC offers both options. That's actually one point in its favour.worrywart_3 said:It’s annoying that they project the SVR as I want to know how it compares to the actual deal I’m on as I never go in to the SVR1
