Self employed 2020

I started my own business on June 1st 2020, due to a job loss before the first lockdown.
I had work, but was not able to fill all commitments due to some customers not allowing me on their property.
I also HAD to self-isolate after coming back from Poland.
Can I have claimed assistance during lockdown & self-isolation?
I have no previous accounts from last year.

You may have been eligible for Universal Credit, but they will not backdate it. You may be eligible for Universal Credit now, depending on your circumstances.Majorbee said:Can I have claimed assistance during lockdown
There were no specific benefits for those self-isolating after travel as travel was entirely voluntary, only for those who were told to isolate by Track and Trace within the UK and who were in receipts of certain benefits and on a very low income.Majorbee said:& self-isolation?1 -
And you wouldn't have qualified for SEISS, as you were not trading in the tax year 18/19.No free lunch, and no free laptop

You can't really expect any help for Poland, assuming you weren't forced to travel at gun-point.
Even if Poland wasn't on the 'naughty list' when you left the UK, it was pretty clear places were being added and removed from the list on a daily basis, so was always a risk.
