I've been pwned

I had an email this morning from 'Have I been pwned?', and indeed I have been. It's an email I only use for comping these days, so I'm wondering how much it matters. It's the one I use to enter all MDs, so my iPad is trained to log in automatically. Do I need to change my login or re-register? I can't imagine what anyone could use it for. My email and passwords for anything important are all different and unique. Any thoughts/experience?
PS I have had an irksome amount of junk sent to that account lately, but it's all the 'grow a bigger willy', get thin by Tuesday rubbish.

It could be that they have gained access to your address book if there is one on that account, if so they will start sending you emails as if they were from people/companies in the address book trying to get you to click on links, they could also send mail as if from you to entries in the address book to do the same thing.
Best to change everything connected with that account, login and password or better still, dump the account completely and start a new one.1 -

It really doesn't matter Misslayed, the very fact that your account was breeched means that your data was compromised.
You could change your password and continue using the account but just be aware that they will try to use your own data against you.1 -
Thanks all, sound advice. Shame, it's such a lovely, suitable email!I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. I had 14 breaches across the same email and same password. So was a consistent breach of 1 set of data. I changed them all to different things and deleted some card details in 1 of them.1
