Can I replace sunken bay window with french doors?

We have a bay window (single storey) that has suffered subsidence from a broken drain prior to us buying the house.  The drain has been repaired and we paid for a structural engineer to look at the window. He said it's possible repairing the drain means the window won't sink again (we don't live in a clay area and there's no trees around) but that it's impossible to tell for certain without digging down and checking the soil underneath. He's confirmed the rest of the house looks solid and advises monitoring the window in case of any further movement and just repair the brickwork and plaster etc. Thing is, I've been wondering about replacing the window with some french doors. Would it be possible to do this now or should I wait to see if there is any further movement first? Would the installation of doors mean the foundations would be rebuilt anyway? Sorry if it's a stupid question!

I don't see why it can't be done of why any serious foundation can be needed for a door.
However, some foundation may be needed if there is no any between the sides of the window.
