Apparently (blatently pinched from another forum) - for RTL Germany

    12.188H
    27500
    3/4

Not sure what the numbers mean (other then the first one) - not at home so can't have a look at the manual tuning settings, but will have a go tomorrow, apparently it's live at around 02:00hrs GMT.

Tried this but nothing coming up, what forum did you find this on?

The programme starts at 11pm GMT but Hatton Mayweather probably won't start till around 4am. It is a very good undercard though.

Amir Khan is fighting on ITV at 9.55pm.
  • Apologies for the above settings, struggling to find original forum I found the settings on (Grrr google) will keep looking. Have had a look on Digitalspy forums and looks like dish may need realigning or to pick up RTL- the search continues.

If I'm not mistaken, RTL is not on the Sky satellite (Astra 2 at 28.2 degrees east) and so you'll need to realign your dish to Astra 1 at 19.2 degrees east. Here's a listing of the channels on Astra 1: http://www.digitalsat.co.uk/astra1_19e.html.

I have a two LNB set-up and often peruse the german channels which seem to show far more live football on free-to-air, even the Wednesday night Champions League matches (usually the german teams of course, until they all get knocked out).

However, if you have a fixed dish, then it's not really something to be recommended for most people because it's a fiddly job - alignment has be absolutely spot on or you'll get no signal at all.

It's actually not that difficult to use a portable dish (on a stand) to get 19.2 and also the hotbird channels - I have one of these and a technomate receiver and I use an inline signal strength meter. I know roughly where to point the dish, then inch it round for best signal, just running the cable through the window. It works fine. You'll find though that most of the events which are 'premium' are encrypted.

Be careful people, I may be wrong, but some of this stuff sounds illegal - see site rules
