Harveys Furniture

Hi i placed an order with Harveys furniture in May and then they went to administration.. they promised me delivery around early November at the latest but still waiting.. still waiting for the money.. i email them but no replies ..call them no one picks up how to get back my money.. thanks...

    How can you be waiting for both the furniture and the money? Have you caused confusion by switching between which you’ve asked from them?

    i asked them to give money back which i had paid by card over phone..


  • If you paid by card, you have a route to a refund, but as Sandtree points out, I would first clarify with Harveys that you're now wanting a refund and not the furniture.  It does sound as if you have confused the situation.

  • What sort of card?  Debit or credit card?  If it's a credit card, you have Section 75 protection.  Talk to your card company about options, but they will want you to clarify what you've done to date in terms of notifying Harveys.  They won't just pay out.

    When you spoke to Harveys to cancel the order and get a refund instead were they ok with that? Do your T&Cs allow you to cancel it? Did they give you a timescale for the refund?

    Assuming you’ve a right to cancel you can do a chargeback on the card as you’ve not yet received the goods.
