TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “What are you Nuts About this Christmas – KP Nuts and Absolute Radio” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to absoluteradio.co.uk and tell us the following details:     Full name and contact details Explain what you are Nuts about this Christmas and what it means to you*   Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the Dave Berry production team, the production manager and an independent judge.   Pre-registration opens on 18/11/20 at 0.01am and ends 26/11/20 at 9:00am.   The competition opens on 23/11/2020 at 6:00am and ends on 27/11/2020 at 10:00am. Each day we will review all entries and create a shortlist of potential finalists to bring to air the next working day.   On shortlisting, we will require the entrant to coherently explain their entry. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online. The entrant will need to explain in detail the prize they want and what it means to them this Christmas. On being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won. From the daily shortlisted entries, there may be multiple winners taken to air by the breakfast production team. Only when a shortlisted entrant has been brought to air and told they are a winner; will they be classed as a winner and receive the prize.   All finalists will be called ahead the competition segment being recorded.  If the chosen finalist is unavailable when we come to call them on a competition record date, a backup finalist from the shortlist will be chosen in their place and the original finalist will forfeit their prize.   The 1st batch of winners to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 20/11/2020     The 2nd batch of winners to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 23/11/2020   The 3rd batch winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 24/11/2020   The 4th batch winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 25/11/2020   The 5th batch winner to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 26/11/2020     Each day from Monday 23rd November until Friday 27th November the finalist’s segment will be played either live or as live if pre-recorded on-air during the Absolute Radio Breakfast show.   *The prize value of each finalist’s entry will determine the total number of winners each day. There is a maximum total prize fund of £1,000 each day.
2.Entry Platforms and Costs	(A)       Online at absoluteradio.co.uk  or planetradio.co.uk/absoluteradio   Online entry is free.
3. DATES	Start Date and End Date. Pre-registration: from 18/11/2020 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 26/11/2020 at 12:00pm (End Date).   The on-air competition will take place each day from 23/11/2020 until 27/11/2020, between 6am and 10am. The winners will be given information of when the exact timings will be ahead of being brought to air.   Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.   Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winners of the competition will be announced on the Dave Berry Breakfast Show from 23/11/2020 until 27/11/2020 between 6am and 10am.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.   One entry per person. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. 5. THE PRIZE	The following prizes will be awarded during the competition to the winners*: Multiple winner prize packages will be awarded during the competition and will include: Cash prize* *The winners are the persons who are brought-to-air during the Dave Berry breakfast show and announced as one of the daily winners by the breakfast team on-air from 23/11/2020- 27/11/2020. **Value of cash prize will be dependent on individual’s competition entry request. There is a maximum £1,000 cash prize per day.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

 

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider “KP Nuts” to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.
   1. Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.
   2. Entrants may not enter more than once.
   3. If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
   4. We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
   5. You are responsible for all costs of entry.
   6. You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
   7. Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.
   8. As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.
   9. We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
