Hi i had accident last year and no one claimed it on my insurance... this year upon renewal I am losing my no claim bonus as insurance company closed that case with fault code at my side.. company says they will look into it and they seem to agree that if no one made a claim then I should not be losing it..

I am also thinking about contacting national ombudsman …please advise..thanks..

Did you claim for damage to your car?

Somehow, I think we're missing some detail...

What is the truth, whole truth, nothing but the truth...?
Did anybody claim off anybody's insurance?
Did your insurer end up paying their bill?

You cannot engage the ombudsman until you have had a final response from the company or 8 weeks have passed since you logged your complaint.

But you had an accident. So you lose your no claims. You will have to declare this also for the next few years as a non fault, no loses accident to.
The insurance company see you as higher risk now. This does vary from insurance company to insurance comapny: https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumers/complaints-can-help/insurance/motor-insurance/fault-claims-no-claims-bonuses

If there really was no claim by anybody, then the NCB should be safe.

The base premium will rise because of the at-fault collision. But the NCB shouldn't be dinged.

The most likely explanation is that there was a claim that the OP simply doesn't know about.

    makes sense..
insurance company confirmed that there is no claim from third party...
claim 1: accident but neither party accepted the fault and none party claimed
claim 2: not claimed (No claim protection in place)
claim 3: not claimed (non -fault) (No claim protection in place)
therefore none claims pursued ...please advise..

No, you don't. Not unless your insurer has had to pay for a claim.

So you have had 3 separate claims in how many years?

Some no claim protection seem to only stay if you keep with the same company.

Yes but the claims weren't claimed on, see.
As the OP states, 'makes sense'.....
