Morning
Sorry for awol I just have nothing to say lol and my decluttering posts are boring me now tooRubes hope the test goes ok ...not long to go now x
Maybe we should serve brekky on the bench now most of us are on it (nanny could you brew the coffee?)
Getting a bit frustrated with everyone in the media going on about how we must have a big Christmas shame we can't convince the virus to take a 5 day break too instead we will have to pay for it in Jan. Lots of big occasions have been missed this year including other religious celebrations and birthdays. Rant over
Fish pie on the menu for tonight. Bit faffy but does about 4 meals so worth it
Hope you all have as good as day as possible

Dumpling, I'm sorry you have been so ill again, it must have been very scary for you.
I was reflecting yesterday on how my world has shrunk this year. I'm not the most social of persons anyway but now I have virtually no-one apart from immediate family to talk to. I think I must try to make an effort to do more things outside the house once we are able to.
We will be having a very quiet Christmas anyway, Laura and Brian will want to go and see his mum if they are allowed so it will just be us and Chris, which is fine. Crystal will probably arrive on Boxing Day after spending Christmas with her family, I try to encourage Chris to go with her but he really doesn't want to because he finds her big family overwhelming en masse. I must start thinking about presents, I have bought a couple of little things for Esben and that is as far as my lack of enthusiasm has taken me.

Morning all, it's a horrible dark wet day here and persisting down, you need the light on to do anything. We were upset yesterday as DGD had taken ill at school and we weren't able to go and get her, you could count on one hand the amount of times we have been unable to help out
DD's head gave her the afternoon off though and all's well today, she's picked back up remarkably quickly.
Yesterday I wrote out my Xmas cards, except those which are on my craft table and some of them just need a letter from me put in before they can be posted. I also decided to clean the dw filters and arms, yuck ! Then I gave it 2 washes on empty, a hot wash and a safe clean ( anti bac ) one. Kept me busy for most of the afternoon. We were back and fore the front door yesterday taking in parcels, felt like Zebedee springing up every 5 mins. There was only one parcel for us and umpteen for DD, but now my hall looks like a RM sorting officeToday's started much the same and if you don't hear from me tomorrow I'm buried up to my neck in parcels
Tea tonight will be a sausage casserole as I found 2 large bags of sausages in the freezer oops! Perhaps I'd better have a sort out in there today too.Dumpling Oh you poor thing and very clever to spot what was happening. Hope you feel a better soon and the meds do their thing quickly. Cwtches right back at you, let the family look after you and you take care of yourself.RedRuby good luck with the test.nelski absolutely, I'll be there with my tea trolley like Mrs Overall !Take care all, stay safe and keep well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
Morning all,Dumpling ,I'm sorry to hear you've been so ill again, have a hug from me!Lazy morning for me so far sat at the pc, trouble is I need to for grocery shopping, Xmas shopping, all takes time.My veg box last week included a recipe for tomato and basil soup, and the required amount of toms - I hadn't done it and tomorrow another box will come so I got cracking with it yesterday. Lots to go in the freezer and some left out for todays lunch. I've taken a hm lasagne out for tea, as I have to pick up DGS from school so I can just bob it in when we get back. I was sorry to read on fb yesterday that a soft play centre that we spent some happy times in with the DGC won't reopen after lockdownBetter go and do something useful, take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all! I have been up for a while honest, I've just been reading [ getting through a series of books I'm giving away before I give them away] and drinking tea and eating cheese on toast. The bin men have been and I gave them a tub of chocolates. Came out to get the bin in and they'd taken it all the way to the back gate, obviously some quid pro quo but I thought it was nice of them.Went to the tip yesterday expecting light or no traffic [ hello essential journey only] but it was just like a normal pre-lockdown day. This just brought home to me a post I'd read on FB where an ex work collleague had gone to nine [ yes, nine] shops to look for a particular colour christmas bauble. I bloody well despair.Anyway, today is doing a whole lot of nothing. If I don't make a plan, I do nothing. It rained after I got back from tipland yesterday and is raining today so no gardening is going to happen. I don't mind doing it in the cold but cold and wet is a no go although I did find a pair of really nice gardening gloves I hadn't found for the three years since I bought them, so I'll be prepared when I do.I might put up these shelf things with baskets I got from the yellow and blue shed in the bedroom as side tables being as I decluttered mine to the dump, an old lloyd loom style thing that I had painted very inexpertly. It has exposed all the dust bunnies so a hoover is also in order. Made chicken stew last night so that's tonights menu again. And thats all for now folks!Dumpling, how scary but how quick you were, you've been as lucky as person can get, I hope you get well soon! Happy new kitchen Scarlet, I'm envious
Gers, it's got to be tough not being home and without any of the home comforts or social life you used to have. Ruby, here's hoping there's no vomit in your future! good luck with the test today...snoozer, same as, although I do do mesenger or whatsapp video calls, the OH is pretty much the only one I talk to regularly. It's easier now not to take things for granted, like a place to call home and a circle of good friends/family. So hey all readng along, phone a friend and tell you like them as much as buttered popcorn and have a warm the cockles of your heart wednesday...
