Online Gift Card - any right to cancel?

Good evening.
This evening, I was buying online gift vouchers (Curry’s) from an online third party supplier who gives an NHS discount. Rather annoyingly, the gift card retailer auto changed to another, I stupidly didn’t notice and ended up buying a £150 voucher for Adidas.

I noticed as soon as I received the Confirmation email, didn’t click on the ‘activate’ link and immediately emailed the company to ask if I could either swap or get a refund. I haven’t heard back yet, but I suspect that I’m going to be unsuccessful as their t&c state ‘no refunds’ (but they do mention statutory rights).

Does anyone know if this sort of thing might be covered by the 14 day distance selling rules, especially as I haven’t activated it? Or am I stuck with a tracksuit rather than an iPad...?

  • Sorry - forgot to mention that the company is called ‘Vivup’. It’s one that you register with via the workplace to do salary sacrifice etc, but they also give discounts on a range of UK retailer gift cards.
