Claiming title on a car.
3 months ago I paid a deposit to a car dealer for a car, the car was never ready , after 6 weeks they gave me a courtesy car, 1 month ago, I found another car from different dealer. Phoned them to ask for deposit back and for them to come and collect the courtesy car. Told to put it in an email, have now sent 2 email 1 month ago and 1 , 2 weeks ago. Not had any reply, still no return of deposit and still no collection of car.
Can I claim car in lieu of deposit.
Thank you all for your help.

a) Wrong board for this question
b) No ... just, No. 🙄2 -
You might want to check if you are still insured to drive the courtesy car.Or that the vehicle is insured if someone crashes into it / vandalises it / otherwise damages it...Beware, or unhappiness could occur.0

If you have got a loan car why can't you drive to the dealers and find out what is happening instead of relying on phone calls or emails?2

The fact that you have bought another car is probably irrelevant to your contract with the dealer. People can own more than one car. You cannot sell the courtesy car as you do not own it. If you sell the car, it will be theft on your part. On what basis were you given the courtesy car? If it was on the basis that it was for your use until they supplied the new car, then it appears that the dealership has not broken that agreement, but you might have.
PS. posting on Motoring sub-forum will give you more answers.2 -

Might help if you said what car you were buying (make, model, new 2nd hand)
Many cars now have a lot longer lead times then before Covid. Some such as the Ford Kuga PHEV have been pulled from sale (even if ordered) due to issues.Life in the slow lane0
