Car lease help

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum or if anyone can help but here goes - We have recently joined the motability scheme and are awaiting our 1st car which isn't due until February, the problem is our own private car has just been written off by the insurance company after an accident which wasn't our fault, we are both disabled and blue badge holders so obviously rely on our car a lot and we aren't in any position to afford another especially for only a couple of months, does anyone know if we would be eligible for a motability courtesy car or if there is any other kind of temporary lease scheme that we could look into please?
Many Thanks

I have no idea, but I'd have thought speaking to the garage who are supplying your motability car would be the best place to start.
Car rental for an extended period does work out cheaper than 'by the day' so you might be able to negotiate elsewhere if the garage can't help.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I've not heard of any temporary lease's available. It's unlikely that a dealer will give you a courtesy car while you wait for delivery of your mobility car because at the moment you don't have a mobility vehicle on lease, obviously if you did and it was this car you had the accident in then it would be a different story. Are you able to hire a car for a short time and use your mobility payments for this? You don't start paying for your mobility vehicle until you've collected and signed for it so this money can pay for the hire of a car. Has the insurance company paid out for the right off of your car? if so then maybe put that money towards a hire car. Just a thought.0
