Amazon return

Sorry if I am in the wrong place? My O.H sent for a mattress topper from Amazon, we have only ought a few things from them in the past. His sight is not good and he managed to press the wrong button so we got a super king size instead of a double. I did manage to sort out the return and took it to my local shop for a Hermes collection, we have had the refund but £20 has been taken for the cost of return, is this usual and can anyone tell me if l could I have returned it for less or in a better way? I thank anyone who could give me some advice so I don’t make a mistake again.

Amazon charges for a change of mind return. They don't if you aren't happy with the quality or it's faulty. £20 sounds a good price for a large item.
