Utility Bill credit file removal

Options
Hello,
In June 2019 I moved out of my flat, and went to live with friends temporarily. I then moved into a new flat in December. I paid my utility bills until the point I moved out and notified the providers. Thames Water has now listed a default on my credit file for 4 months at the start of this year for that property, I have spoken to them about this and they actually issued me a refund and wiped the bill clear, however this default is still on my file and affecting my credit score. Can I get this removed? If so, what do I do! This caring about my credit score is really new to me!

  • Ask them?
If they wiped the bill because they accept that you moved out then there's no reason why they would not also correct the credit file entry if you request it.
