SORN declaration.
Just done SORN on my car and came across web site called SORN registration services which looks just like government one. When you go through screens when you get to final screen to process SORN you get charged fee for the SORN . The DVLA charge no fee for declaring SORN they are trying to scam people out of money for service which is free.

In fact it's rare in many cases for the Genuine Site to be near the top of the list after a Google search0 -
All it requires is a little learning how to use a web browser, and how to interpret the results.Nearlyold said:In fact it's rare in many cases for the Genuine Site to be near the top of the list after a Google search
1. If you have the URL, don't SEARCH it, just type it into the address bar.
2. When you get the search results, ignore the ones that are labelled as ads or sponsored results.
3. Use an adblocker.0 -

But I don't get why you would send money to a site which doesn't even have DVLA in its URL.0 -

Yes, you can search from the address bar - but the search is a secondary function. Put a valid URL in, it acts as the address bar and goes straight to that URL. Put a non-valid URL in, it treats it as a search term.nottsphil said:
