Delivered wrong address by UPS woes

Hi All , So i ordered something recently and the guy come to deliver and said oh sorry we delivered wrong address ie the address just before you by accident and said they will get it back and redeliver tomorrow.
Tomorrow comes and they say they tried getting it back but other person denies recieving it so they gave me the address to see if i could get it back,i went there that evening and asked the people about it but they said its all a pack of lies and that she did recieve one package from the ups guy and it was hers and was pretty !!!!!! that they gave her address to me as it was a breach of data protection.
So what are my options ? the tracking says it was delivered to that previous address ? all i can think of is say to UPS that they delivered to wrong person and not my fault so cough up ? or is there anything else i can do , was paid by credit card so have that at least.

  • Contact the retailer.  It's their responsibility to sort it out and send you what you've paid for.

    Assuming this was something you bought from a company or such then the seller remains responsible until its in your possession or if the courier followed your instructions to leave it with someone else.

    Speak to the seller, its their problem to sort out with the courier not yours.

    Not sure if the other address is a “neighbour” or not but if you assume their story is true and they didnt get your parcel I can sympathise with them not wanting you given their address... I am sure you were perfectly reasonable and just walked away when they said they didnt have your parcel but I am sure not everyone would take their word for it.
