Tui and 2nd Dec Travel

Hi All - interesting call with Tui just now, they have or are in the process of only cancelling flights and holidays for 27 days of the lockdown and claim that my trip on Wed 2nd Dec  is still going ahead '- "unless we hear from head office" - seems very odd as quite clear in the legislation that the 28 days includes the whole of 28th Dec 

I think they may need to get a calendar and count to 28. I can't be the only person with this problem - but not getting any joy from TUI !

Quite possibly the call handler got it wrong. With over 2 weeks to go. Who knows what the future holds. Local lockdowns may well remain in place at the very least.

Mine in October was cancelled with 4 days notice, you will get an update in due course. Have to wait it out I’m afraid...

We are due to fly to Gran Canaria from Exeter on 7th December on a 2 week Tui  package holiday. The hotel Faro is currently closed and cannot be booked until the 12th December and the Exeter airport website confirms the first flight out is not until the 14th (also cannot book a Tui flight only online from the 7th). So far 3 phone calls to Tui who say the holiday is currently planned to go ahead! With the need to arrange covid tests we need to know that our holiday will not ahead but Tui refuse to confirm this. Surely with 13 days to go it is unfair to be put in this position. I anyone else in the same position?

Tui will be in touch with you about 72 hours before you travel hopefully to go through your options .
