Changing front door lock mechanism

Hi,
I don't know if this is possible. I'd like to change my front door lock (currently a multipoint lock - lift the handle to engage and lock with a key) for one with a thumbturn lock. I really would like the Yale Linus smart door lock, but not sure if I need a whole new front door or if I can simply change my existing door lock?
If anyone can advise, it would be much appreciated.
Many thanks.

It's very simple to replace your lock with a thumb turn lock, you just need to buy the lock cylinder with a thumb turn on the inside. A single screw in the edge of the door holds the cylinder in place, it's often not central so you need to buy a cylinder with the same dimensions as your old one. There are plenty of YouTube guides available.
it appears the Yale Linus fits over the cylinder and key and simply turns the key for you. It looks fiddly to fit and completely pointless in my opinion, but again, there are YouTube guides available.
One point, it's best not to fit a thumb turn lock near glass or a letterbox where somebody could reach through and unlock it relatively easily.0 -
While a thumb turn lock is a good idea be careful if you have children especially younger ones as it's very easy for them to unlock the door without your knowledgeI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
