Babysitting Circle - great idea

Hi

Some friends of mine have started a new website which allows you to organise your own babysitting circle without any of the admin. You can see the site at http://www.swapbabysitting.com/ and what you do is to enter your friends e-mail addresses and then you can send a request to your firends. You get 12 credits when you sign up, for free, and 4 more credits if any of your friends sign up.

Each time you want to request a babysitter, you can enter details of your request, choose which friends to send it to and all of the responses come back via the site so that you can choose which babysitter to use, The site also lets you enter all of the details about your children's bedtimes, routines, contact numbers, etc. so that you don't have to write them down each time you have a babysitter.

Hope people find this useful.

Victoria

  • TBH, when my boys were small, I wouldn't trust their care to anyone other than close family members. But I can see how helpful this can be for those mothers that don't have family around them.
There again, wouldn't you just phone a friend to ask them to babysit?

I find it really useful because it saves me phoning around several friends. And it saves us all from trying to remember how many babysits we owe each other, etc.

Problem comes when someone sends their husband round to babysit your kids....thats OK you think; then someone else sends their (newish) partner which isn't so OK.
