Removing default - Welsh water

In short, I had a default on SAT 8/10/2016 with Welsh Water, which was passed to Moorcroft Collection, I paid in full on Tuesday 11/102016. I was sufferring with mental health issues at the time. I have tried to ask for Welsh water to remove the default due to mitigating circumstances, Mental Health and the affect it is having on my personal circumstances. They refused as they say it was correctly recorded, they have however given me a letter stating my good conduct ever since. I asked the consumer council for water to assist in trying to ask them to reconsider. They failed. I then went to the water ombudsman WATRS and failed again.
I recently was succesfull in removing a ccj by having it set aside, with a lender. which got me thinking.
I rejected the WATRS decision said in their final response ".This is to confirm that we have received your notification that you have rejected the adjudicator’s decision. As a result, the decision has no binding effect. You remain free to take action against the company in the courts or elsewhere"
My questions are:
Could I take it to court?
How do I go about this?
Where could I find a specialist lawyer?
Is there any other way?
Should I share the full details in this forum? its quite a story.

Generally speaking, ombudsmen tend to be much more generous to consumers than the court system will be. Courts are only interested in matters of law, the various ombudsmen services look at "fairness."
If WATRS don't agree with you I'd say your chances in court are slim to none and it'll be gone in less than 2 years anyway.2 -
I am struggling to see why you cannot let this go. It is an accurate record and all the efforts you have put into removing it thus far have come to nothing. Fair play for trying but you didn't a result this time out. At this stage this will be having a minimal impact on your credit standing and certainly does not justify any further stress on your part attempting to have it removed. Even if you were successful it will make no difference to your daily life so, if you are still having mental health issues then do yourself a favour, save yourself the angst, draw a line under it and move on. It just isn't worth it.2

Can you explain what effect it's having on your personal circumstances ?
A debt with 2 years left shouldn't matter much.1 -
The importance for removal was that in 2018, I was accepted on an housing association rent to buy scheme. 25% of my rent goes to a mortgage deposit, if i dont get a mortgage and buy i lose my house and deposit and i will have to rent privately. the terms are within 3 years. default doesnt drop off until 4 years Oct 22.

If the default is over 3 years old and satisfied in full you should be looking at a high street lender0
