Be vey careful. I left Together Energy in June and in November they still have not paid me back the c£400 they owe me despite several calls and complaining to the Energy Ombudsman (who seem to want to close cases without any confirmation they have been resolved!).

    BEWARE Together Energy!
In June I decided to reduce my tariff because we were paying too much so moved from Together Energy to British Gas. The move went smoothly but when I checked my final bill it said they owed me £391.67. So I asked for it back and was assured it would be paid in the next 10 working days. It wasn't. I called their customer services a few more times over the next few months and the same message - it will be paid in 10 working days. By October, I decided enough was enough and complained to the Energy Ombudsman. That got a response - Together Energy wrote me a letter apologising and telling me it would be paid back in "10 working days" and that as an act of goodwill they would pay £60 credit on top. So I thought OK. The Ombudsman closed the case (even though the payment had not yet been made).
That was 13 working days ago. I phoned today to ask where my refund was and guess what "it will take 10 working days".
I fear that despite a lot of effort I will never see the money so BEWARE TOGETHER ENERGY!!!!
Do not be fooled by cheap offers. STAY WELL AWAY!

Had to take them to the Ombudsman too.  Had several instances of them accepting they were wrong, offering compensation and not coughing it up but finally got it settled a few months ago.  They ended up paying m about 3 times as much in compo as the outstanding credit they owed me (and obviously I got the credit back too.)

Sorry to jump on another persons' thread but I am also having anightmre with them.  Swicthed to them in August last year for Elec & Gas and they STILL haven't started providing me with a gas supply yet!  Luckily I have managed to get a credit to my bill for the gas I had paid them already but does anyone know that if I switch to another supplier, how can I find if I will be charged an exit fee and how much that is?  Their website and T&Cs redirect me to a page that doesn't exist anymore

I switched from Together Energy on 21st October 2021 to Octopus Energy. The last bill from Together Energy on 1st October showed they owed me £1760. They closing account bill now shows that I owe them £2600!. They say I used over £3000 of gas in 18 days! They are using totally fictitious gas usage and have ignored all the timed and dated photographs of the gas meter readings that I have sent them. They have even supplied their fictitious gas usage figures to Octopus Energy which fortunately have accepted my readings and are reading my smart gas meter correctly. Despite several emails and phone calls to Together Energy they have done nothing to resolve this matter.
