Hi there
I've started a new job and my P45 stated that I have to pay off a student loan and I'm being deducted but I've never had one.
No idea how to resolve this and payroll are not helping.
Who / what do I need to do??

It is not the responsibility of your payroll department to resolve the issue. They can only act on the information on the P45. As advised, you need to contact HMRC.0
