Neighbour - Ring camera in communal flat corridor - allowed?

It seems most of the posters here are wrong in terms of a legal perspective. The OP has every right to quite enjoyment of their property under the Human Rights Act, without having to be stalked coming and going.
Bear in mind that audio and video are also covered by UK GDPR. If you have a camera, it can only record your property, sounds like the OP's neighbour is recording anything but their own property.

While it can be useful for other people with the same issue, just checking you’re aware that the thread is from November 2020 so presumably the OP is sorted by now.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.6 -

imagine talking about the human rights act when there's a war happening.
I am sure the OP can live just fine with a camera outside his flat ...1 -
It's a data protection issue.
I think it would be very hard to justify this camera. Ask nicely, then talk to the ICO.0 -

There’s conflict happening somewhere most of the time, albeit far less well publicised. Does that mean this forum should cease to exist? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if I should post here or in a separate thread but will try here first. I live in a block of flats and my neighbour has installed one of those door camera devices. The problem I have is that their entrance is facing my entrance with roughly 3 metres separating us. I don't know how sensitive these devices are but I don't think they were meant to be used in this way. I am curious what my rights (options) are as I feel it is an invasion of privacy. TIA.0
