my mum is in a carehome but is hospitalised due to a fall she has now been tested positive for covid,the home she is in wont take her back yet as she is covid positive ,the hospital are looking for a home who take covid positive to send her to as a temporary measure till she tests negative then she goes back to her own carehome ,what i need to know is who pays for the temporary home thanks

How did the situation resolve re your last thread about your mum, by the way ?
In this case, though, ask the care home, see what they say, alternatively, ask the care/support/social workers associated with your mum.
Often, the costs can be/are deferred so ask about that too.1 -
The NHS have the responsibility unless the care home are given a clear test. Until then she's not been formally discharged.
All our local care homes refuse to accept hospital discharge patients unless they have tested clear and they have visibility of the test paperworkEx forum ambassador
