in Credit cards
I need some help with this.On the 23rd October via my Pockit account, I transferred a sum to my friend to her credit card for money I borrowed. Sadly she gave me the numbers on the giro slip (sort code and account number) and I added her full credit card number as reference, being none the wiser.
After a week she called me that she had not received the money. The giro slip shows it a HSBC Collection account for her Capitol One account. My card currently have no phone line, but I have raised a trace, although they say, she needs to sort it her end as I (in good faith may I add), transferred to an account that presumably exist somewhere, it's not that I put in wrong numbers, just not the correct account for transfers.
I have done literally everything I can, she has just phone Capitol one, who says its my problem. Not helpful as its actually an exciting account I traceried to , so the money will not come back to my account . Its near 3 weeks now.
I have raced the issue via Resolver and asked my bank to return the money . But as the account excise, my card issuer claims that its the beneficiary that need to trace the money form their own holing account and to her account. Seems to be an easy thing to match the two, as I did give her credit card number, but not so
I have spend days on phone lines to try to sort, and fell the beneficiary is just making one call to Capitol one, has done no trace, no complaint etc and I'm getting rather frustrated.
Does anyone know anything about these collection accounts and how it works or any advice or who needs to do what ?

1. I can't understand why the details on the giro slip didn't get the money to the account, surely that's what the numbers are there for?
2. If you've paid the money to the account details she gave you, then it's her problem now, not yours. Although I understand that might cause friendship problems.0 -
Resolver won't be able to help you.0

What account details did you send it to - 40 02 50 81077082 ?Have you got confirmation of the details you sent it to ?0

The giro slip account details should be correct, that's what they're designed to do.
Request the AIN number from your bank for the payment and give that to your friend. They'll the payment that way0 -

The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0

It should show as a payment, but will take a while for someone to sort out. As I guess it will flag a error and need a human to look at it.
But as a individual, you should not be sending a payment to the credit card. You need to send it to their bank account.Life in the slow lane0
