Best savings account for couple when moving into first house

Options
Hi all, hope everyone is keeping safe!!!
Me and my partner will be moving into our new house sometime in December fingers crossed.
I was hoping someone could offer some advice as to what the best kind of joint savings account would be for home improvements/ holidays etc.
I will be looking at putting 25K into a joint account for us that we can spend on home improvements/ holidays etc straight away, that we can build into every month.
We have a joint account set up for bills and the mortgage.
Is this the most prudent way to do this?
Thanks!!!

For savings accounts the main issues is do you want easy access or not ? Normally best to avoid high st banks due to the almost zero interest rates .

Although it might seem a long time off and you have lots of other expenses , like a new mortgage, do give some thought to  the longer term . Especially make sure you are opted in to your employers pension scheme.
