Best 32inch lcd, help please

Hi I would like to buy a 32inch LCD television and stay under £600 hopefully near to £500. I read the Which report and if you look at the best buys it is swamped with Panasonic, in fact there are about 8 best buys (all Panasonics) before you get to a Sony and then a Toshiba, which seemed to decide things but when you look generally on the net for best LCD all sorts come up, and not necessarily Panasonic.

Can you help please, I would like it for watching Sky+ , and would like it to also have HD and freeview built in. Panasonic seem to sell several models all at the same time with very little difference between them and I cannot afford the top ones. But the lower ones come in at the right price for me.

When I have been looking in shops I am not sure which is best. The other day I saw some Hitachi's and they seemed to have a very impressive picture.

Should I just go with WHICH and get a Panasonic or can you tell me different. What would you recommend?

I would appreciate any guidance, picture quality is paramount but without losing any significant sound quality.

Brand names are nice, but they often have the same insides as some unknown brands and sometimes they even have better quality parts than expensive brand names - this is money saving after all!!

Personally I'd go for Samsung. Every shop console display, every TV show, every console game exhibition uses Samsungs. Kind of tells you something.
