Kinder to cat flea treatment

I have always used Advantage for our cats. Currently we have just one 6 yr old house cat. I understand she may still be prone to fleas so diligently treat her monthly. I know she feels under the weather for 24hrs post treatment and I understand why. She also gets very distressed going to the vets. So my question is, does anyone recommend an effective flea treatment which she can have at home which is less likely to cause her to feel unwell.

I use frontline, but I don't do it every month only a couple of times a year.

We've just switched to Bravecto. It was certainly more efficient that the Broadline we were using. The comments I post are my personal opinion. If this is important to you, I would check with the manufacturer using their contact form at: https://www.connectgb.msd-animal-health.co.uk/s/contactusThe comments I post are my personal opinion. The active ingredient in the medication is fluralaner, which is a systemic ectoparasiticide (meaning that it kills bugs that live on the outside of your dog’s body). https://www.k9ofmine.com/bravecto-for-dogs/

Hmm... if you only have 1 cat who does not go out and you do not have fleas in the house - do you actually need to treat her/him at all? We had our old girl (last one of the trio) on her own for the past 6 years or so and she used to go out a little bit but not a lot - basically just a trip to the bushes and back and to sun herself on the patio. I only ever treated her with a spot on type 2-3 times during the summer months and it was sufficient.
I did spray our carpets with Indorex just in case and that's suppose to last for 1 year.
Program also does flea treatment which is mixed with the food (google Program Oral Suspension for Cats) but the smaller dosage seems to be out of stock pretty much everywhere.

My Aunt has two house cats and after they somehow got fleas (small bungalow barely any carpet) she treats them every month now.
I personally wouldn't treat an indoor cat monthly but quarterly maybe.0 -
