I got roller blinds in the kitchen n bathroom, made of kinda poylyester material, and they look a bit grubby. so can I take them down, slide the bar out the bottom, and put them in the washing machine or will it destroy them?

It will probably take the stiffness out. Also could shrink. Your callI am not a cat (But my friend is)0

Surely you'd need to cut the material off the top roller first, thus ruining the blind? Every roller blind I've fitted has the material attached to the aluminium roller at the top, so it's not just a case of sliding the bar out of the bottom. I think you'd be better off taking the blind down, unrolling it fully and sponging it with warm soapy water. Let it dry fully before you roll it back up.

I wouldn't put them in the machine. They'll clean up just fine with soapy water in the sink or if they won't fit the sink try the bath.0

Wouldn't putting them in your machine put creases in them which would be nigh on impossible to get out?0
