Boost Smart PAYG IS GOING WRONG

Hi all, I am currently a customer of Boost and have received notice that I am due to be switched to PAYG smart. The company I work for has their meters in a lot of its properties and we're having a mare trying to sort them out? Some people are going without power for up to 36 hours and these are people with young families in some cases. All the credit on the meters when they finally get sorted is taking up to 7 days to be replaced and some families just can't afford to top.up again while they wait for reimbursement. As a customer myself also with a family and trying to WFH this is a nightmare waiting to happen. We're being cut off after an hour when we try to get through to them on the phone, no response on email and when I tried this morning my call was diverted to OVO who no longer deal with Boost customers . Can anyone help with this please? There are vulnerable families without gas and electric despite having paid for it .

  • Hi, yes I have emailed and posted on their forum as have several thousand others I believe. They have now messaged to say that they won't be making any further changes until the New Year. Such a relief to know that I and other people don't have to worry about being without energy.
  • Yes having same problem my app keeps reading need to top up, got so fed up with there prices have changed to utilita got to wait now for there smat connector & key and card to come which I never received replacement ones from Boost, i am about a £1000 cheaper with new company. there will be no standing charges. Boost never answer phone never answer on there app

    Utilitia's prices are fair similiar to Boost's.  Don't fall into the trap of one does have not charge standing charge so they must be cheaper.  All they do is incorporate the standing charge into the unit price.  Hence, Utilitita's prices for the first two units a day, of both gas and electricity, being much higher than the remaining unit price.
