This is what the website saysCall us on 0800 055 66 11 (Mon- Fri 8am-10pm; Sat 8am-8pm; Sun 9am-5pm) at least 10 working days before the payment is due. We’ll ask you for:your 16-digit credit card number, printed on the front of your credit cardthe account number and sort code of the bank account you are paying from.
It seems you can change a direct debit in the app or internet banking.

Bloody awful, never knew a CC company doesn't let you set it up online. It's not even type it in on the phone, u have to speak to someone.
I guess I just manually transfer the money across every month.1 -

And follow their step-by-step instructions.
Once it's all set up, you can just forget about it. Unless you want to pay it off in full of course, or close it.

Incidentally, I had the same problem with a NatWest credit card, so it's not just Nationwide.0 -

I am a nationwide cc customers, and i was doing Direct Debit online easily.
Step one:
login to your account in browser at their online banking.
Step two:
When you're in your account, go to the credit card account section (as if you have other products with them), and at the top left you have a list of functions, pick the "Other account services" one, and click on it.
Step three:
Look at the center of the page you'll find a list of "Account services" as in pic attached below,
Under this list you'll find the option to register your card for Direct Debit service.
Step four:
Follow the instructions
Step five:
Read carefully the note about how long it takes to get it bone, and make sure, that in your next payment due date it's already be set to take the payment by the New Direct Debit, sometimes you will still have to pay by other way till it's update at the Direct Debit system. Just read what the bank said there.
Step six:
Don't forget to let us know how you managed, and, Good luck..1
