I am thinking of going part time but I have worked full time for 21 years so if I get made redundant whilst on part time will it be my part time salary that I get or my previous full time salary if it’s part time that is a rip off and totally unfair to the employee but very beneficial to the employer
any advice will be welcome
thank you

If you think you are likely to be redundant in the near future, then it does not make sense to go part time.
Any redundancy pay would be based on your weekly pay which for redundancy purposes is the average you earned per week over the 12 weeks before the day you got your redundancy notice. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1 -
thanks that’s what I thought so I have a decision to make so stay full time
