Never had a problem with Powerplay. They've been very good and efficient.
I don't use them that regulary (only for their misprices, got Halo 3 delivered for £8.49) all of which they've honoured and sent out. If an item is in stock they dispatch immediately. One of the fastest for online retailers. If an item isn't in stock, for obvious reasons it might take a while.

i dont know if this is the correct board but i was hoping someone could tell me if they have bought anything from this company as i have ordered xbox 360 games for my son one was dispatched a week ago one now awaiting stock i have emailed twice and have heard and received nothing from them doesnt seem to be telephone contact for them either thanks for any advice
I have used them before, they only charge you on despatch of the order but if you want to contact them phone 08706006776 and explain you are phoning about a online order and they should put you through to the correct department. Hope that helps. :rotfl:0 -
I ordered Umberella Chronicles for Wii for an Xmas pressie on pre-order and when it was released I received it 5 days later which I did not think was too bad as that included the weekend. This is the first time I have used them as the game was really cheap and I would probably use them again.0

I placed my first order with them a few weeks ago for a DS game and it was dispatched the next day and received 2 days after that
I had no problems at all.

I ordered two items for Christmas presents from Powerplay which came out best on price but only by a very small amount (I was more interested in spreading the delivery risk really). I ordered at the beginning of December to allow time for any problems in lost deliveries etc.
Both items were confirmed as in stock and then allocated at the time of ordering. A few days later an amendment to the first order came to say 'oh dear, it isn't in stock after all' which was a remarkably long time to find their online inventory was wrong. That was the least of my problems - at least I was able to cancel that and go back to mroe professional alternatives at the same price (by then). The second item they claim was despatched. It didn't arrive. No phone number, not response from customer support and then 'oh we don't talk about lost orders for 21 days after despatch'. This was a detail I certainly didn't spot on their website or I'd never have used them. I still don't have that item, it was expensive and not one I could just go out and replace but it was important.
I'll never shop there again. My advice is steer clear unless you are in no hurry for the goods and have time to waste dealing with them for the sake of saving pence. Contrast with Amazon and other online dealers who at similar prices will just resend missing items at this time of year or uprate postage for free where you have ordered by the Christmas deadline.0 -

Their geographic phone number took me to an office where they tried to be helpful but are not allowed to deal with weborders. They could only give me the O870 number. This goes to voicemail and from the comment in the office it sounds like only one person deals with the calls.
So - they still have my money for an order they say was despatched and I still have no goods and cannot get a response from them. I'd like to go out and replace the product (was promised as a special Christmas present for the kids ) but don't want to find myself with two products0 -

Hi, Had a problem with them where I was trying to purchase items and kept getting an error and no order was completed, however when I checked on my statement I'd been debbited three times. Didnt get a response on E-mail after a few days, so just saw this thread and phoned up the 0870 number above.
They gave me another number 0870 899 2007 (and I thought, here comes the voicemail!).... But the guy answered straight away. He said they had a problem over the new year with the Verfieid by Visa thing where it was fully verifing the payment every time, even if the order wasn't completed.
Anyway, they are refunding the order now, but the person above was right - it is just this one guy dealing with this! I asked for his name and he told me, but said I'm the only one on this number anyway.
