I logged into my S&S ISA this morning for a quick nosey and saw a nice increase in the value since the Biden bump and good vaccine news yesterday...I then checked my pension account (Scottish Widows) and it hasn't really moved much at all, even though almost everything is in similar type of global index funds.... made me wonder... does anyone know when is it updated for today's valuation? Appears to be rather behind.

The underlying funds may be valued once per day, perhaps at noon, so yesterday's changes in value might not have shown up yet.

Pricing point is most likely the issue. Very common for them to be later on life and pension funds.

Thanks @dunstonh - they are kinda in the stone ages for a few things, web portal is very dated when you login, no app etc... I guess I can check back tomorrow!

I just checked and our Scottish Widows pension has been updated with yesterday's figures with a 2.5% increase from 6/11.

I think you are being generous when you suggest stone age.  I would go prehistoric.  There are so many quirks with their systems.   Such as policies that disappear from online once you get over 87 transactions on it as the system cannot handle that.

It is worth noting that even if you have these types of funds in a more modern pension with a modern website , there is still a delay . OEIC funds are not traded in the financial markets so you can not get an instantly updated price , like with shares and other types of investments . The funds are valued once a day , usually sometime between 12.00 noon and 21.00 and then depending on the provider , you will see the new valuation at some point later.
