Halifax Regular Saver interest if closing early

Apologies if this is a naive question. I've never had to do this before, but I might need to close one of my regular savers before the end of the 12 months.
Does anyone know what happens if I close my Halifax Regular Saver early, say after 6 months - do I still get the corresponding interest for the 6 months? The Halifax website doesn't say what happens if you close it early, see below. Thank you.

Can I withdraw money?
No. You can't access your savings unless you’re closing the account. You can close it before the end of 12 months.
After 12 months any money you’ve saved plus interest, transfers into your nominated account if you have one. If you don’t, we’ll open one for you as part of this application.

I just closed my Halifax Reg Saver early and I got the advertised interest up until closure (2%). Hope this helps.1

Thanks! How did you close it? Did you have to go in branch?0

No I just sent a message in the app and the capital plus interest was transferred into my current account with them in a couple of hours 😊2

I am trying to send them a message via the mobile app but I can't get past the Virtual Assistant... it's been 15 minutes and no response. The account cannot be closed over the phone, so I guess I do need to visit a branch.0

When it ask’s have you been able to close your account, select no. It will then say it needs to transfer you to a customer advisor to help further. Depending on how busy they are the replies can take anything from 20 minutes to the next day, but it is easier than going to branch in the current climate.1

It used to be possible to "upgrade" the account on Online Banking to an Everyday Saver or whatever the 0.01% easy access account is called, then you could withdraw the money from there.

Thanks, I managed to close it via the app but it took forever.
Clever idea with 'upgrading'1
