Natwest switching

Hi,
I'm hoping that someone can clear something up before I call Natwest in the morning.
My partner and I both had individual bank accounts, I was with Lloyd's, she was with HSBC, we saw the £125 switching offer from Natwest and the thought it was a bit of a no brainer.
As we already had a joint account in a place, I called prior to switching to ask which option I should select (existing customer or new) and was told to use existing, it now seems both our individual accounts have been closed and everything is transferred over to the joint account, the question I have, would we now need to apply for a new individual account with Natwest? For the accounts that have now been merged into the joint account, Would we also both qualify for the £125 incentive, assuming conditions are met?
Thanks in advance

So you didn't apply for a new current account with Natwest: you just switched a sole account each into your existing joint Natwest account? In that case you only qualify for one incentive between you.cjp2308 said:Hi,

If you switched into the joint account then you will only be eligible for a single incentive payment between the two of you as per the terms of the offer. Opening new accounts won't help as you'll be excluded from any more payments as you have already received one.
