apparantly sometime in the new year, it will make it to europe, but my main point was, why discontinue a model that was backwards compatable, in favour of one with smaller hard drive and not backward compatable, saying it was a costing issue, then decide to release an 8ogb version that is only partially backward compatable, surely if it was a costing issue, they would just have stuck to the 60gb version, rather than develop 2 differnt machines that wont even do what the first version did, just seems strange thats all, Dave.
On one hand I completely agree with you and was surprised myself to read it. But on the other taken in context, let's face it Sony aren't the best at making wise marketing decisions so in a way they're being quite consistent in making stupid, short sighted and illogical decisions. Betamax, MiniDisc, CD rootkit, faking blogs, racist PSP adverts, decapitated goat publicity stunt, and probably hundreds more."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

And I'd completely forgotten this one: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7151474.stm"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Isn't the hard drive in the PS3 very easy to replace ? So why not just by the cheapest one and upgrade the hard disc? If people are that bothered about backwards compatibility just keep your PS2 or buy a second hand one. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
